Buy nowI scanned every receipt into quick books last year (2021). The only ones I seem to be able to find are the ones from my linked business account. I cannot find any of the expenses from my personal accounts or when I used cash. All were scanned but not all of them were categorized in a timely manner. I filed a tax extension in hopes I would be able to find every receipt that I had scanned for the year. How
Hi @BBP724.
I can share some information on how to use and view the scanned receipts. When you run QuickBooks Online on a supported browser, you can see the scanned receipts in the Receipts tab when you go to the Transactions menu. From there, transactions are classified under For review (transaction needs to be categorized and matched) and Reviewed (already linked to a transaction).
You'll have to categorize each receipt by hand and manually attach them to each sale/expense transaction. In this manner, you'll have options to filter your searches and be able to link them to the correct record in QuickBooks Online.
Here's how:
Then this will be saved as reviewed in the Reviewed tab.
In addition, check more details from the Capture and categorize receipts in the Receipts tab article. It contains a list of supported file types you can use when scanning receipts. It also provides information on how to email and send receipts into your account.
If there’s anything else I can help you find in QBO, leave me a comment. I’ll pop right back in to assist further. Have a good one.
Hi, thank you so much for taking the time to help me. Your information was a big help. However, Im looking for receipts that were scanned in 2021. Is there a way I can pull all these up and print them for my accountant?
Thank you!
Never mind, I believe I have found them after re-reading your post. Thank you again!
