How do you stop printing on both sides of paper?

Printing Reports

Hi there, CW 1083. I can share some information on how to stop printing on both sides of the paper.

Due to variations in printers, the design of reports may altered when printed. QuickBooks Online does not retain printer settings. In your Windows Printer settings, you have the option to select either one-sided or two-sided print, as well as paper feed preferences.

If your printer preferences are not being saved, I recommend contacting your printer's manufacturer or your IT professional. This issue may be related to a Windows or driver problem that requires their assistance.

Additionally, I've included an article that'll help you learn how to get the most out of your financial reports: Customize reports in QuickBooks Online.

Please don't hesitate to post your concerns here in the Community or leave a reply below if you need further assistance printing your reports in QuickBooks Online. It would be my pleasure to ensure a smooth process for you. Take care.

Printing Reports

Can you help me fix the problem of my reports cutting off the last digit of the right amount column or sometimes completely dropping the right-most column altogether?

Also, I am able to change the width of columns in the report but my cahnges are IGNORED when printing.

I appreciate your detailed description of the issue you're encountering with your QuickBooks when printing reports, @hammabooks.

To rectify this, you can change your print orientation from Portrait to Landscape. This wider format gives more space for all columns and digits, preventing cut-offs and missing information.

To change to Landscape orientation:

  1. When you're ready to print, click on the Printer icon.
  2. In the Report print settings, look for the Orientation.
  3. Select Landscape instead of Portrait.
  4. Then select Save as PDF.
  5. Preview the report to ensure all columns are visible.
  6. If it looks good, proceed with printing.

Regarding your second question about column width changes not being reflected in the printed version, this behavior is working as designed in QuickBooks Online. While you can adjust column widths for on-screen viewing, these changes are not carried over to the printed version. When printing, the report reverts to its default layout, showing columns at their maximum width to ensure all information is visible.
