I've checked here on my end and found out that there's an ongoing investigation on QBO that freezes up after adding a product category. Our engineers are aware of the issue and are in the process of being prioritized/investigated.
In this case, I recommend reaching out to our Technical Support Team. They'll add you to the list of affected users then you'll receive an email notification once we resolve this. You can also provide this investigation number (INV-88923). Here's how to reach them:
- Sign in to your QuickBooks Online company.
- Click Help (?).
- Select either tab to get started:
