Product Inventory multiple items to create one but deplete inventory from single sku'd items.

Hi we are in need of some help with products and services.

We have several items that we track inventory for these.

We want to create a sku that takes inventory to create certain “bundled” items.

Example –

Sku #123 Description “Widget 1” Inventory QTY 20 Sale Price $10.00 Cost $5.00
Sku #345 Description “Widget 2” Inventory QTY 10 Sale Price $5.00 Cost $2.50

Bundle Item = Combination of Sku#123 QTY 2 & Sku#345 QTY 1 which would equal Sku#987.

If you take the items above in the bundle the Sale Price would be $15.00.

We want to deplete the inventory for Widget 1 by a QTY of 2 and Widget 2 by QTY 1 and sell the bundle item for $12.50 not the individual price of all 3 items which would be $15.00.

However, we still want to be able to sell Widget 1 and Widget 2 individually and not in bundle.

How do you set this up. How this makes sense.

Appreciate any help in advance.

Thanks for all the information you provided. I'll share details how inventories and bundle items work in QBO, gmichas-crmsafet.

The sales price of the bundle is automatically the total amount of all the items that are part of it. In this case, the system will automatically show $20 in the Amount column and not $15. For now, there's no option to change this unless an item is removed or reduced.

However, the quantity that will be deducted is the exact number of items that are added to the bundle. Aside from that, you can also sell the widgets separately even if they're part of a bundle item.

With regards to the total amount, you'll want to send feedback about it to our engineers. Feature requests and other suggestions are collected and reviewed if they can be added to future updates. Here's how:

  1. Go to the Gear icon and select Feedback.
  2. Type in your feedback and suggestions about the advertisements in QBO.
  3. Click Next to submit them.

Let me know if that's all the information you need about selling items and bundles in QBO. I'd be glad to jump right back to offer my help if you need it again.
