Join nowI had such great help before I have another question.
I would like to get a Profit and loss report that displays the following:
Previous month actual; Previous month budget; YTD actual; YTD budget and annual budget. I am having a hard time finding what report can accomplish this so I can save and refresh monthly.
Thank you!
I'm happy to hear that one of our Community members helped you, @LJB177.
I can share some insights to how and where budget vs. actuals profit and loss data can be seen in QuickBooks Online (QBO) reports.
To begin with, ensure you have already created a budget in QBO. This way, you can run the Budget vs. Actuals Profit and Loss report. To show the previous month's budget vs. actual and YTD budget vs. actual data, you may want to change the Report period to see each reporting details.
Here's how to pull up this report:
Lastly, you can memorize each separate reporting period by hitting the Save customization button to see the previous month's budget vs. actuals and the other YTD budget vs. actuals. Then see this in the Reports menu under the Custom reports tab.
On the other hand, you can run the Budget Overview report to see your annual budget. Simply click the Gear icon and then choose Budgeting. From there, you will see annual budget for each specific year.
For your future help, you can run the Budget Overview or Budget vs. Actuals report to view the current data. You may want to check these articles for information about QuickBooks reports:
Let me know if you have additional questions about running reports and financial data. Anytime I can help. Take care and have a great day!
Thank you so much! Is there a way to combine all of those so that they run on one report? We just switched to online and we used to have a report that ran this on desktop.
Thank you!
Anything is possible with QuickBooks, @LJB177!
The closest way to get your desired result is to utilize the Management Reports feature. This allows you to combine up to 15 reports with a cover page, table of contents, preliminary pages, and end notes. I'm happy to share the steps with you.
Here's how:
Once you've saved the report package, you may choose to send via email, export as PDF, or as a DOCX, or copy the package. You also have the option to delete the ones you've created.
Please let me know if there's anything else that I can help with your reports. I'm always here to assist. Have a wonderful day, @LJB177!
