Q3 2023 not showing up on reports or expenses

Hi all!  I'm new to quickbooks online - just set everything up.  In trying to run 1099s for my contractors for 2023, I noticed that nothing is showing up for Q3 2023 - I can see all expenses from my business bank account for the entire year but q3, including all transactions not just contractor payments.  Is there a resource to help me figure this out?  I'd like to  make sure their payments aren't showing up as income

Q3 2023 not showing up on reports or expenses

Hi there, @Kfitz1. We'll share details to help you get through this so you can view your quarter 3 data inside QuickBooks Online (QBO).

Before anything else, you'll want to ensure no filters you did not filter the report you've generated. This way, you can view all transactions and have them reviewed. If it still doesn't show, it's possible they were deleted and no longer show on your end. We can run the Audit Log feature to double-check changes inside your company. We'll write down the steps to get you going:

  1. Access your QuickBooks Online company.
  2. On the left navigational bar, click the Gear icon and select Audit log.
  3. Select Filter.
  4. Use the fields on the Filter panel to choose the appropriate User, Date, or Events filter to narrow the results.
  5. Click Apply.

For more details, please see this page: Use the audit log in QuickBooks Online.

In case your Q3 transactions or data have been deleted, you'll need to reenter them again. You can utilize the Audit log option to view the transaction details and copy them when entering transactions.

Moreover, here are some articles you can check to learn more about payments excluded, and payment categories for 1099 forms inside the program:

You can comment below if you need further assistance retrieving Q3 data inside QuickBooks. It'll be our pleasure to help you out again. Keep safe.
