Help! I started with a new company in March and they purchased QB for Mac. I am not new to QB but new to Mac.
I am trying to go back and enter the "year end" numbers from their accountant (2019) but QB will not allow me to enter a negative amount in certain areas:
1-4300 Leasehold Improvements $11,862
1-4500 Machinery & Equipment $43,424
1-4600 Automobiles $236,724
1-5200 A/D Interim <$192,807> *Accepted
2-2000 Accounts Payable <$144,775> *Accepted
2-4200 Accrued Commissions <$64,000> **WILL NOT ACCEPT
2-4000 Accrued Expenses <$167,130> **WILL NOT ACCEPT
The two listed above that were "not accepted" had a journal that shows a positive entry for the same dollar amount so that the balance is $0.00 instead of a negative number.
So now that I have added most year-end numbers into individual journals, do I now need to delete each and just make a single journal with all entries? I am very confused.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!
