QBO A/P Aging Detail with Customer Name

I'll share suggestions to help you achieve your reporting task in QuickBooks, @TIC-Linda.

Adding a customer name to the A/P Aging Detail Report is currently unavailable. However, you can export the report to tailor the data as a workaround.

Go as follow:

  1. Reopen the A/P Aging Detail report.
  2. Filter all the necessary data and click Run report
  3. Click the Export icon in the upper right to select Export to Excel.
  4. After downloading the information, open it and manually input the customer name.
  5. Follow the onscreen instructions.

If you want to check the bill or purchases payable to your customers, I'd recommend running the Purchases by Vendor Detail report. Make sure to add the Customer column. See the sample screenshot below for your reference:

For more information about customization, see this link: Export reports, lists, and more.

QBO A/P Aging Detail with Customer Name

According to other comments, people have been requesting this for over 5 years!!!!!!!!!!! When will QBO respond to the request of something that seems very logical. Giving us a solution to export and enter it manually is absurd. The customer name can be entered when you enter the bill, the field is available to use, and therefore, QBO should add that option to the report. The Purchase by Vendor report is NOT an A/P Aging Detail report and does not work. If there is more than one line listed on the bill, the Purchase by Vendor report lists each line separately instead of the total AP amount. Again, not a solution. If the two solutions that you offered worked, people would not continue to request what is really needed. So, the simple answer is NO, there is no solution for a request that is over 5 years old.
