Quickbooks Desktop Statement Writer - Scalability & The Future of

We made the upgrade from QB 15.0 to 20.0. I am not seeing much difference when it comes to QSW. I have also never really seen much information in general on QSW.

In theory, I love the tool and what it produces. However, in my opinion, it's clunky. Is Intuit investing in its future?

I ask this not to complain. I ask this because I am trying to decide how much I should invest in the tool, or if I should invest more into Fathom. If Intuit is not going to invest more into QSW, I just want to know.

Thanks.

Thanks Katherine. However, that does not really answer my question. Is there a future with QSW? Will the functionality become more robust?

Thanks for your prompt response, @clscfo.

We appreciate your thoughts a lot. In the meantime, there's no exact time frame given regarding QuickBooks Statement Writer update and enhancements to make its functionalities more robust.

Since this feature is existing with QuickBooks Desktop, sooner or later, QuickBooks Statement Writer will get the enhancements.

In addition to katherinejoyceO's article and recommendation, you can visit our Intuit Developer's site to share your ideas. Also, you can find there helpful tools that integrate with QuickBooks Desktop.

Keep me notified by leaving a message to this post if you have more concerns with QuickBooks Desktop. I'll be happy to help. Stay safe and healthy!

Thanks Jovychris -

However, the reason I ask the question is because I am seeing very little difference in QSW between Quickbooks Desktop 2015 and 2020. And also the same performance issues.

Thanks for everybody's responses.

I am with you on the klutzi-ness of QSW.  The related concern is that apparently QSW is compatible with Microsoft Excel versions 2007, 2010, and 2013.  We are using 2019 Excel Professional version, and it works, but QSW is very slow, and that is probably why.  2013 was a long time ago.  Time for an update.
