Buy nowCan I create a custom report for all dates. In the drop down box it gives options but not "All Dates" The report I need to create needs to cover 2 years or more.
If this is not an option it would be a good one to add to truly customize reports.
Thanks and I look forward to some answers
I can share some information about running and customizing reports in QuickBooks Online, @mapco.
When you run a report in QuickBooks Online (QBO) and set the Report period to All Dates, it'll gather all the data or information on your account for all dates. It can cover two or more years or right when you have started the account. It'll also consider other filters that you set in the report.
Check out this article for more information on how to set the filters of your report based on your needs: Customize reports in QuickBooks Online.
To save the current customization you have to run the same report in the future with ease. See this article for further guidance: Memorize reports in QuickBooks Online. That will guide you on how to find, run, export to excel, and edit/delete it.

Thank you for the reply but that did not address my question. Hopefully I can explain it more thoroughly.
I understand that you can customize the standard reports given and select "All dates" but customizing the standard reports have some limitations depending the report.
I am trying to create a completely new report.
From the reports screen and the standard report tab I select the green box "Create new report"
Then from the my reports screen I select "Start by adding data columns"
This take me to a blank report to start building. This is where "all dates" is not available only yearly or options of and it will not span years in the custom date selection..
I hope this clarifies the question and I look forward to your reply
Thanks

You’re correct. QuickBooks standard reports have some limitations depending on their purpose. At the moment, creating a custom report for all dates isn’t possible. I recognize how convenient this option is for business.
