QuickBooks report: Export to Excel warning: Excel allows 256 columns in a worksheet

QuickBooks Pro Desktop 2021, R8

Whenever I try export my reports in Excel, I get following warning:

Excel allows 256 columns in a worksheet

This report contain 7 columns (3 row title columns + 4 data columns)

Use "Customize" to change the number of columns in this report.

Why would my report fail to export Excel when # of columns are less than what Excel allows? How to fix this warning?

I can't export any of my reports to Excel since I applied R8 on 11/01/2021.

Hello, yfegade.

I've already answered a similar question you've posted. You can view her answer through this link: https://quickbooks.intuit.com/learn-support/en-us/reports-and-accounting/re-quickbooks-report-export...

In addition, I've included this article that'll help you fix issues when exporting reports: QuickBooks Desktop crashes when exporting reports to Excel worksheet.

I'll be glad to help you again if you have more questions about exporting reports. Just add the details in the comment section.
