There are a few reasons why this alert pops-up. Check out the scenarios below:
- The system detects another version of QuickBooks on the same computer.
- QuickBooks software or the Statement Writer is not updated.
- Windows restrictions.
- Office or Excel is no longer supported or compatible.
To get this fixed, other users have tried turning off the automatic updates for the other QuickBooks versions installed aside from 2020. This way its background processes will not interfere with the working file.
