Hello,
We are using Quickbooks Enterprise 2021. Since the initial installation we have NOT been able to use our Statement Writer. Spent countless of hours with Intuit Support, Level 2 Support, and getting NO WHERE. We tried installation on RDP session, on a standalone machine, using sample data, and Statement Writer doesn't work at all. Loops on the update. NOW.. we have also downgraded our MS Office to 2013 because they claim the Excel on Office 365 is not compatible. Well, that didn't work either. Not understanding why a simple program feature just doesn't want to run, and no one at Intuit has a clue on how to fix it.
Please please if anyone out there has run into a similar issue, we are in dire need of HELP!!!
thank you,
I can see how difficult this has been for you, Dan-AD.
I'll share some details on how to fix the Statement Writer.
Before anything else, please make sure to update your QuickBooks Desktop to the latest release.
Once finished, let's download the latest version of QSW by following the steps below. Note: If a Download/Install update prompt appears every time you open QSW or shows up after updating, select Cancel to open QSW.
If you're still not able to user the Statement Writer, you can check out the other solutions in this article: Fix problems with Statement Writer.
To learn more about the feature, you can read this guide: Use and navigate QuickBooks Statement Writer (QSW).
I'd like to know how you get on after trying out the steps. I want to ensure this is resolved for you. Please reply to this post and I'll get back to you as soon as I can. Have a good day ahead.
Hello RenjolynC,
Thank you, I appreciate the quick response. Unfortunately the steps you have provided me I have gone thru countless times with Intuit, and with our hosting company. We've tried using both a server and a standalone desktop and every known scenario we put together and it still does not work. The entire installation failed during a remote support session in which Intuit was watching and we still do not have this case resolved.
Hi there, Dan-AD.
I appreciate all the efforts that you've exhausted just to get the QB Statement Writer working.
At this point, I'd recommend getting in touch with technical supports. This way, we'll be able to look further into your account setup and conduct an investigation. Here's how to connect with us:
I'm also adding this article to learn how to create professional financial statements using QuickBooks Statement Writer: Use and navigate QSW.
Keep me posted if you need additional help in dealing with your other tasks. Have a good one.
So far I have been given links and articles from stuff I already googled and found. I'm wondering if anyone at Intuit has taken the time to install the program to see if it works? I can't believe that we have tried numerous installs on different machines to arrive at the same non-working condition. I've even had our hosting company install on their own standalone machine, with their licensed software to arrive at the same condition. This is definitely a bug in the program and needless to say extremely frustrating and I truly wish someone at Intuit will look into this issue instead of cut and pasting stuff from their site.
I am having the exact same issues.....it doesnt appear to work at all
