Can Ii set up a customer file so I can give seperate labor rates per customer

I'll share a way how you can give separate labor rates per customer in QuickBooks Online (QBO), @khofler.

You're unable to set up separate labor rates on each of your customers' profiles. However, you can set pricing rules for specific products and services in QBO. This lets you control the price and offer discounts or charge different rates by item. Then, offer them to only certain customers for a specified amount of time.

To do this, you'll first have to turn on the price rules feature in QBO. Here's how:

  1. Go to the Gear icon.
  2. Select Account and settings or Company Settings.
  3. Choose the Sales menu.
  4. Click anywhere in the Products and services section to open its details.
  5. Select the Turn on price rules Beta option.
  6. Click Save and then Done80.PNG

Then, create your price rule. Here's how:

  1. Go to the Gear icon.
  2. Select All lists.
  3. Choose Price Rules.
  4. Select Create a rule. After your first rule, select New price rule.
  5. Give your rule a name.
  6. Price rules apply to all of your customers by default. If you want only want it to apply to specific customers, select the Select customers drop-down and then Select individually. Then select Add customer. You can also add a customer type if you have them.
  7. Price rules apply to all products and services by default. If you want it to only apply to specific types, select the Select products or services drop-down. Then select the type.
  8. Use the Set sales price or rate by, Percentage, and Rounding drop-downs to decide how much you want to increase or decrease prices by.
  9. Set when the rule is active in the Start date and End date fields.
  10. When you're ready to apply your customizations, select Apply. You'll see the adjusted prices of each item based on your customizations in the Adjusted price column. Select Save and close to save your rule. 81.PNG
