Yes, you can, @doug62.
We’ll just have to edit your invoice template to show the payment made to the invoice. I’d be glad to guide you how:
- Sign in to your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account:
- Go to the Gear icon.
- Select Custom form styles.
- Locate your preferred invoice template and click the Edit link to proceed.
- Click the Content tab, and select the Table section.
- Uncheck the Show on invoice box under Account summary.

- Click Done.
- From the Custom form styles page, locate the template you’ve created and click Make default under the ACTION column (this way, every invoice created uses this template).
To check:
- Go to the Sales menu.
- Select the Customers tab.
- Click your preferred customer.
- From the Transaction List tab, Locate and select your preferred invoice, then click Print or Preview from the bottom part of the invoice.
