End of Day - gl accounts affected

Hello, Looking for information that shows the g/l account posting for each item on the daily X-out status report.

Thanks in advance.

End of Day - gl accounts affected

Hi there, @sending file thru file transfer.

At this time, being able to pull up information that shows the general ledger posting account for each item on the End of Day X-out report isn't available. QuickBooks Point of Sale only tracks your sales transaction.

However, if you have the QuickBooks Desktop software, pulling up the general ledger report and customizing it by the item is possible.

To do that:

  1. Click on Reports at the top menu bar.
  2. Press Accountant & Taxes.
  3. Hit on General Ledger.
  4. Enter the correct date range of the report and tap the Customize Report button.
  5. Refer to the Filters tab, and choose Item under the Choose Filter section.
  6. On the Item column, select the items that you wanted to show up in the report.
  7. Tap on OK.

Attached are screenshots that will outline these steps:

Thank you.  Their POS isn't connected to their desktop.  I'm posting their monthly sales, cash, gift card etc activity by journal entry from the monthly X -out report.  I'm don't want to miss anything which is why I was hoping to locate which g/l accounts each item affect.

Let's get this sorted out, sending file thru file transfer.

When you create the Journal Entries, whatever accounts you're using is usually the same account that affects each item. We can run the Journal reports to check the affected accounts. Here's how:

  1. Go to the Reports menu.
  2. Select Account & Taxes.
  3. Select Journal.
