We recently updated our Help menu with the QB Assistant feature. Just a few steps and you'll be able to request a callback from us. I’d be glad to guide you on how. Before anything else, you‘ll want to unreconcile the check that causing your bank reconciliation off. Let me show you how:
- Go to the Accounting menu.
- Select Chart of Accounts.
- Find the account holding the transaction, then select the View register link.
- Select the transaction you want to unreconcile to expand the view.
- Review the check column. If the transaction is reconciled, you’ll see an “R.”
- Select the checkbox. Keep selecting it until the box is blank to removes the transaction from the reconciliation.
- Click Save when done.

To be guided accordingly in making these changes, I recommend working with your account. If you don’t have one, you can visit our ProAdvisor page and we’ll help you look for one from there. Once everything is in place, you and your accountant are now ready to redo the reconciliation.
