How do I change an invoice back to an estimate

Instead of fixing this problem Quickbooks wastes more of my time by sending me spam emails that tell me how other users like "charley0667 just gave me kudos".  Thanks and kudos to Charley0667 for sharing in my disdain for Quickbooks. Obviously, no humans at Quickbooks are bothering to monitor our complaints. Their AI must be trying to develop the ability to express evil laughter.

How do I change an invoice back to an estimate

I see the benefit of having the option to convert invoice to estimate, @JH212.

Currently, there's no direct option to convert an invoice into an estimate. However, you can still create an estimate based on the details of an existing invoice by manually entering the necessary information, such as the product or service details, customer, amount, and quantity.

After manually creating an estimate, you can use the Duplicate feature to make a copy and edit specific details. This saves you time from manually making a new one.

To duplicate transaction:

  1. Go to Sales, then click Estimates
  2. Look for the transaction you want to copy.
  3. In the Action column, select the dropdown ▼, then choose Duplicate.
  4. In the Estimate page, replace the specific details you want to change.
  5. Once done, tap Save and close or Save and send.

Additionally, you can also set up and send progress invoicing. This lets you split an estimate into as many invoices as you want.

I'm still here to back you up if you need help managing your estimates and invoices. Just tap the reply button below to enter and submit your response.

How do I change an invoice back to an estimate

They don't care, every day I log in something is changing in the GUI (front end) but they refuse to fix any backend issues.  I guess the billion-plus dollars they made last year isn't enough money to fix these issues.

How do I change an invoice back to an estimate

I couldn't agree more, i have three issues I have had open for years!  They are changing the Look and Feel of every estimate and invoice but not actually working on the real issues.
