How do I createa revised estimate using the same info from an original estimate and keep a record of both?

Good morning, @mhotchkiss1108-g

Welcome to the Community! I appreciate you coming here with your question about estimates.

You can easily copy and revise the estimate by doing a few simple instructions listed below:

  1. Go to the Sales tab on the left-hand menu bar.
  2. Press the All Sales portion of the page.
  3. Scroll down and locate the estimate.
  4. In the "Action" column, tap the drop-down menu.
  5. Pick Copy

From there, the copy of the estimate will appear and you can make any changes needed. For future reference, check out these guides:

This should do the trick. Feel free to reach back out if you have any other questions. Happy Friday!

This is how it used to could be done but "Copy" is no longer an option from the Action drop down menu.

Please advise

Hello there, @JFrank73.

In QuickBooks Online (QBO), you can make a copy or duplicate of your estimate. The "Copy" is no longer an option as it was changed to "Duplicate." Both have the same functionality, so you don't need to worry about differences.

Let me guide you on how to duplicate your estimate. Here's how:

  1. Go to Sales
  2. Click Estimates, then select the estimate you want to duplicate.
  3. From the Action dropdown, click the Duplicate
  4. Hit Save and close

I'll provide a screenshot for reference.

I'll be adding this article if you wish to convert your estimate to an invoice: Convert an estimate into an invoice in QBO.

Feel free to reply below if you need further assistance with your QBO transactions. I'll be here to assist you. Best wishes!
