How do I make an inactive account active again?

Welcome to the Community. I'm here to help you reactivate your inactive account in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

 

You can reactivate it by accessing your Chart of Accounts (COA) and enabling the display of inactive accounts.

 

Here's how:

 

  1. Go to Settings ⚙, then select Chart of Accounts.
  2. Select the Gear icon ⚙ next to the printer icon. Then select Include inactive.
  3. Find the account you want to use again, then select Make Active.

 

Before reactivating an inactive account, it's advisable to consult with your accountant as it may impact your Chart of Accounts and overall financial reports.
