How do i record eBay as a vendor for purchases? Do i record tools_direct as the vendor? Or is using eBay as the vendor acceptable?

Thanks for checking in with us, lakestateplumbin.

If you don't have the eBay app, you can get it from the Intuit Apps store. Then, log in to your eBay account and connect it from there.

Let me show you how:

  1. Go to this link: https://apps.intuit.com/app/apps/home.
  2. Enter the name of the application in the Search field.
  3. Choose your eBay app on the list.
  4. Click Get the app now to download it.

Then, reach out to the third-party app provider on how to sync or import your data (like vendor for purchases) into QBO. Just click the link provided under Contact and Support at the right side of the page.

You can also connect a bank account to bring in transactions to your account. The system will automatically download them so you'll assign, categorize, edit, and add them to your bank register.

Another way is to manually create a vendor profile for eBay. Let me show you how:

  1. Go to Expenses on the left side menu.
  2. Choose Vendors.
  3. Tap the New vendor button.
  4. Enter all the necessary details on the Vendor Information page.
  5. Click Save.

Then, the enter the purchases as bills expense or check. For the steps and details, refer to this article: Apply a purchase order to a vendor transaction.

I've got a link here that provides you with articles about managing vendor transactions: Enter expenses, pay bills, and write checks.

Fill me in if you need a had with running financial reports or ay QBO related. I'm always here to help. Have a great day ahead.
