How do I reissue a customers refund check that was never received/cashed from prior year.

I refunded a customer for product that was returned unused.  During reconciliation process I noticed the refund checks still have not cleared.  They were issued in December of 2022.  I contacted one of the customers who said they never received it.  I have a feeling it might be the case for the others as well.  Can they just be reprinted keeping the same date of original issue with a new check number and just stop payment on the other check number directly through the bank instead of voiding it?

Yes, you have the option to reprint the refund transaction you issued to your customer, lakeside.

You can directly locate and open the refund check transaction so you can edit and reprint it. From there, you can change the Check no. and keep the original date you issued it. Once done, tap Print or Preview, then click Print check.

Furthermore, once this check transaction syncs into your banking feeds, you can simply match it to your recorded refund transaction so it won't cause duplicates.

If you're good with your transactions, you can proceed to reconcile an account in QBO. If everything matches, you know your accounts are balanced and accurate.
