How do I remove sales tax from active invoice that has not been sent?

Removing sales tax from an active invoice is quick and easy.

If you're trying to remove the sales tax just for the active invoice, you can remove it by unchecking the Tax option on the invoice screen.

However, if you're trying to remove the sales tax option for the specific item used, you can mark it as non-taxable in the item setup.

Here's how:

1. Click the Gear icon at the upper right corner and select Products and Services.
2. Select the item and click on the Edit.
3. Choose Nontaxable as the Sales tax category. Please be reminded that this is a retroactive process, all historical transactions will also get updated.
