I can show you how to check or search the sales tax by customer, @tami14.
You can run a Sales Tax Liability report to get a summary of your taxable income per tax agency. To check for the individual invoices that make up that taxable income, simply click on the Taxable amount link in the report to run a Transaction Report. It'll be showing all invoices and sales receipts that make that amount.
Here's how:
- From your homepage, go to the Reports menu and look for the Sales Tax Liability report.
- Click to open the report.
- Set the Report period and Tax Agency.

- Select Run report.
Here, you can view the total tax amounts you collected from your customers from the Tax Amount column. This includes totals for state rate and local tax rates (such as city, county, and/or district). Click on each amount under the Taxable Amount to open a Transaction report to view all the invoices and sales receipts that make that amount. ![taxable amount.JPG taxable amount.JPG](https://quickbooks.intuit.com/learn-support/image/serverpage/image-id/61387i19001A2C009BBEDF/image-size/large?v=v2&px=999)
