How do I take a customer off customer list

Hi jl-greene. 

What you're going to want to do is make the specific customer inactive, follow the steps below to do that:

1. Sign into your QuickBooks account
2. Hover over Sales on the left hand side and click Customers
3. Click the name of the customer you want to make inactive. 
4. Hit customer details
5. Edit on the right
6. Make inactive on the bottom

Now the customer will be removed

In QBO, you can make Customer inactive from the list but not permanently delete.

To make the Customer inactive:

Left dashboard > Sales > Customers > Batch actions > Select Customer/Company box to make it inactive.
