How do we enter and save a project by project number, not as a customer

Hi there, @brien96-gmail-co.

Saving a project in QuickBooks is base on the project name. However, you can enter a project number as a custom field on the purchase order. Let me show you how.

Here's how to do it:

  1. Go to the Gear icon and select Account and Settings.
  2. From the Expenses tab, click on the Purchase orders section.
  3. Under Custom fields, check one of the tick-boxes. Enter a field name (Project Number.).
  4. Click on Save then, Done.

Once done, you can create a Purchase Order. You'll see the custom field you've created and manually enter the project number.

Then you can pull up the Open Purchase Order List report and customize it to show the project number.
