How do you search by statement numbers in the new transaction search?

Looking for transactions using the Search function is a time-saving tool that can also make tracking easier in QuickBooks Online (QBO), ctdinitiative.

A customer account statement includes all the invoices for a particular account over a set period, usually one month. Just enter the statement number on the Magnifying glass and it will show you the list of  transactions linked to that number. Here's how:

  1. Select the Magnifying Glass.
  2. Enter the transaction number you’re looking for, then select the desired transaction.
  3. If the transaction you're looking for does not appear on the results list, select Advanced Search.

For tips on how to sort the list by type, date, and amount for each of these transaction types, refer to this article for the complete details: Search for transactions in QuickBooks Online. We can also search them by running the Statement List report. Here's how:

  1. Go to Reports on the left side menu.
  2. Enter Statement List on the search field.
  3. Click the Customize tab.
  4. Select Filter and choose the Customer and Statement Date. From there, select the details on the list.
  5. Press Run report
