How to change the accounts names in budgeting ?

The accounts that show up on your budget are the accounts created under your Chart of Accounts. To rename the accounts, you must modify it from there.

1. Select Chart of Accounts from the Gear icon.
2. Look for the account you want to rename.
3. Click on the drop-down arrow under Action.
4. Tap Edit.
5. Change the account's name under the Account page, hit Save and close to save the changes.

Please know that there are some default or special accounts that can't be edited. When you create a company, QuickBooks generates specific accounts by default. Some accounts are created when certain features are turned on in the settings. The "Accounts" name that you see on the Budgeting screen comes directly from the Name that you set up in the Chart of Accounts. If you need to change it, you will edit your Chart of Accounts. 

Here is how to edit your Chart of Accounts in QuickBooks Online (QBO):

1) From the Left Dashboard, select Accounting and then the Chart of Accounts

2) Once you are on the Chart of Accounts page, locate the Account Name in question

3) Under "Action" column, select drop-arrow and select "Edit"

4) Edit Name and choose Save/Close

That should do it.
