Thanks for checking in with us. Let me guide you on how to enter pass through transaction, k-adelman.

You can record the pass-through transaction as an invoice. Once the customer pays it, just record the payment through the Receive payment option.

For the steps and details, check out these articles:

Then, enter a bill to send it out to the company. Let me show you how:

  1. Click the + New Plus menu.
  2. Select Bill under Vendor
  3. From the Vendor drop-down, choose a vendor.
  4. Choose your preferred bill's term from the Terms drop-down. Then the terms show when the vendor expects payment.
  5. Tick the Location ▼ drop-down, then choose a location to assign the invoice to a worksite or business segment.
  6. Enter the information in the Category details section.
  7. Press Save and close.

For more details about this one, see Enter and pay bills article.

If you are not the one receiving the money, just deposit the payment to a Holding account. You can follow the steps in the Record and make Bank Deposits in QuickBooks Online article.

You can also consult your accountant on how to best handle this one. They'll help you with what transactions you'll need to create and the posting accounts you need to apply.

I've got a link here that provides you with articles about managing your business: https://quickbooks.intuit.com/learn-support/en-us/get-started/07?product=QuickBooks%20Online.

I'm just one click away if you need a hand with reconciling our accounts or any QBO related. I'll appreciate the opportunity to help. Take care always.
