I have QBO. How do I pay my CC via quickbooks checking? When I add my CC to vendors list I don't see where to add my account number.

when I click on pay bills and go to the drop-down menu to select the vendor, I don't see the CC listed.

It’s nice to see you in the Community today, eolmeda-tristate.

Thank you for being detailed about your concern. The information will give us a clearer picture of what happened to the issue.

Let’s review your Vendors Center to see if the credit card is added to the list. I’m here to help you with how to get there.

  1. In QuickBooks Online (QBO), navigate to the Expenses menu on the left panel to choose Vendors.
  2. This will open a screen that lists all suppliers or contractors added to the company.
  3. Then look for your credit card account.
  4. If it’s there, click on it to see more details.
  5. Tap the Edit menu to display the Vendor information screen.vendor info.png
  6. Head to the Additional info section and go to the Account no. box to enter the credit card number.vendor info.1.png
  7. Press Save to keep the changes.

After performing these steps, follow the instructions in this article on how to pay your credit card in QBO: Record your payments to credit cards. Then proceed directly to the Pay down a credit card section. From there, you’ll see alternative methods for tracking the transaction in the company.

However, if you continue to get the same results, let’s access QBO in a private window or incognito mode. This is to test if the webpage is preventing the account from showing up in the list. Then pay your credit card from there.

Here’s how:

  • Press Ctrl + Shift + N (Google Chrome or Edge).
  • Press Ctrl + Shift + P (Mozilla Firefox).
  • Press Command + Shift + N (Safari).

If this works, shift back to your main browser and clear the cache. When you browse a website, it stores temporary data and the cache slows down the application’s performance. You should periodically perform this process for the browser to function more efficiently. If none of these suggestions work, open your company via a supported browser.

I’m adding some links below to guide you on how to put money in and out of your QuickBooks Checking account. You’ll also find answers to common questions about the account as well as steps to categorize your entries.
