I selected the wrong corporation to classify my business. How can I change it from sole proprietor to LLC

Thank you for visiting us today, breanna. I can help you how you can change your company in QuickBooks Online.

We can head over to Accounts and Settings to alter your business entity.

To change your business classification from a sole proprietor to an LLC in QuickBooks Online (QBO), you can follow these steps.

Here's how:

  1. Go to the Gear icon in QuickBooks Online.
  2. Select Account and Settings.
  3. Under the Company Type tab, press the Pencil icon.
  4. Update your company information under the Tax Form. Change it from a sole proprietor to a Limited Liability Company.
  5. Once done, tap the Save button then, Done.

Additionally, here's an article you can scan in case you need service updating the business or contact names associated with your Intuit Account: Update business or contact names on your account

By following these steps, you can easily change your business profile from a sole proprietor to an LLC in QuickBooks Online.
