Is there a way to include loan principle payments in a profit loss by class report?

I run a small rental business.   When I run the profit loss report it includes the loan interest expense, but not the loan principle amount.   I understand this is not technically an expense, but I would like to see a report that shows if I bring in enough money to cover all the outflows

Welcome to the Community. I can share some information about the details you can show in the report.

 

The option to include loan principal payments in the Profit and Loss report is unavailable. Currently, this financial statement can only show your revenues, costs, and expenses.

 

As a workaround, I recommend running the Balance Sheet report. It shows a company's assets, liabilities, and shareholders' equity at a specific period.

 

Here's how:

 

  1. Click the Reports tab at the top menu bar.
  2. Hover your cursor to Company & Financial.
  3. Select a balance report from the options. 1.JPG
