My LLC has a couple DBAs (doing business as) that we invoice through. How can I set-up invoice templates for the different DBAs.

Through my LLC, we do business through a couple different brands, but they are both part of the same LLC.  I am trying to figure out how to set up invoices when you have 2 or more DBAs.  For example, invoice templates where the company is listed slightly differently:
-My LLC (d.b.a. brand 1)
-My LLC (d.b.a. brand 2)

Hi, and Welcome to the Community, @lavid.

I acknowledge that you have shared your concern regarding setting up invoice templates for different DBAs in QuickBooks Online. Unfortunately, creating a template for different DBAs is currently not available since QuickBooks modification will automatically be applied to all templates. However, I can provide a workaround that involves applying a slightly different look to your invoice. Here's how to do it:

Turn on location tracking.

  1. Go to Settings ⚙, then select Account and Settings.
  2. Select Advanced.
  3. In the Categories section, select the Edit ✎ icon.
  4. Turn on the track locations and choose a Location label.
  5. Select Save, then Done.

Then, set up different DBAs in location, business, department, division, etc.

Edit or view contact information by location.

  1. Select the Gear and choose All Lists.
  2. Choose Locations (or if you choose a business, department, division, etc. then select).
  3. At the upper right corner of your screen, select New.
  4. Select the information you want to choose.
  5. Add name, then select Save.

Moreover, here is where you can apply location/business to your invoice. See the photo below:

Thanks for the help with this.  This is a great solution but unfortunately it will not work for me as it location tracking is only available in QuickBooks Online Plus and QuickBooks Online Advanced.  We use QuickBooks Simple Start.
