QB On Line should have the option to set up a Customer has a No Taxable and provide invoice already without the Tax checked and overwrite the Items options

Hello there, alapierre. Let me shed some light on the invoices, overwriting item options, and setting up customers as tax-exempt in QuickBooks Online.

Currently, the option to set up a customer in a way that removes the taxable column when creating an invoice is unavailable. Once you turn on the Sales Tax feature, the column will still appear when creating invoices. You can leave the items unchecked to mark them as exempt.

If you want to eliminate the need to check or uncheck the taxable column each time you create an invoice, you can mark your customers as tax-exempt in their profile.

To set customers as tax-exempt:

  1. Hover to Sales, then select Customers.
  2. Double-click the customer and click Edit
  3. Scroll down to the Taxes section and tick the This customer is tax exempt
  4. Complete the details of why the customer is tax-exempt.
  5. Once done, hit Save.

Furthermore, if you're referring to overwriting or changing the product option when you create the invoices, you can do it by clicking the dropdown.

You can follow these steps:

  1. On your invoice page, hover to the Product and Services column.
  2. Click the dropdown, and choose the products you want to overwrite or change.

If you mean to overwrite items or product names directly when you create invoices, it's currently unavailable. In the meantime, you can change its information in the Product and Services to update it.

Here's how:

  1. Hover to the Gear icon, then select Products and services
  2. Locate the products or services you want to change or overwrite.
  3. Click Edit, then overwrite it in the Name section. It will automatically update when you create future invoices.
  4. Hit Save and close

I'll add these informative articles for a guide in handling your invoices, products, and services, including sales taxes:
