Report - Sales Orders

Hi - I am trying to make a report to take a look at the Sales Orders (open and closed) for a time period that also displays the total quantity of items on each SO. Any ideas? I see a report for "Open Sales Orders," but it won't show closed SO and doesn't have a column for the qty of goods...

The "Sales by Rep Detail" report is visually what I'm looking for, but need to see the SO #, not the invoice #. Can anyone assist?

Report - Sales Orders

Hi there, @adirato.

QuickBooks will only show the transactions that have affected the Profit and Loss by default. You'll want to run the Sales by Customer Detail report and filter this report to show Non Posting transactions. You can also include the Paid column to indicate whether it's open or close.

Here's how:

  1. Go to the Reports menu.
  2.  Select Sales and choose Sales By Customer Detail.
  3. Click Customize Report.
  4. In the Dispay tab, select Paid in the Search Columns field.
  5. Select the Filters tab.
  6. In the Search Filter field, type in "Posting Status."
  7. Set the Posting Status to Non-Posting.
  8. Click OK.

The screenshots below will show you the last five steps.

You can also save this report to speed up your work, check out this article for more details: Create, access and modify memorized reports.

Please let me know if you need further assistance. I'm always here to help.
