I would like my recurring transactions that are on monthly reminder to appear on my dashboard. How do I set that up?

I have two Quickbooks On Line accounts
One clearly displays the monthly reminders but the newer account make me go on a search each month to find out what needs to be addressed.

I would like my recurring transactions that are on monthly reminder to appear on my dashboard. How do I set that up?

Hi there, carter. I'll share information about locating recurring transaction reminders in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

Indeed, QuickBooks displays recurring transactions that are on monthly reminders in the dashboard. We'll only have to set up the template correctly and select Reminder for the template type. Please know that transaction reminders will only appear from the dashboard once started based on the next date set to be out.

Moreover, please be guided below in creating a recurring template in QBO:

  1. Go to the Gear icon and select Recurring Transactions.
  2. From there, hit the New button and select what transaction you want to create.
  3. Enter the necessary details to complete the form.
  4. After that, click the Manage button at the top-right corner.
  5. Drill down the Scheduling dropdown and click Edit beside the Recurring transaction.
  6. Enter the Template Name, and choose Reminder for the Type.
  7. Continue to set up your recurring settings, and click Save template.

To locate the reminders, you can navigate to the Dashboard and refer to the Tasks section. Then, ensure to scroll down carefully, as everything may not be displayed on your screen. From there, you can select the Action button, and then View Reminders.

If it's not visible after following the steps above, I suggest performing troubleshooting steps that help improve any cloud-based application's performance. To start, let's access your company file through a private browser and locate your reminders. Once verified, we can clear your browser cache and cookies to give it a fresh start. You can also opt for another supported browser to open your company file.

Furthermore, you can see all your recurring transactions in one place by referring to this article: Review your recurring transactions in QuickBooks Online.

Feel free to reply to this post if you have additional questions about managing recurring entries or QuickBooks transactions. I always have your back. Take care!
