Transaction ID ("txnid" from the URL of any transaction page) - Reportable?

Hi,

So every single transaction in QBO has a "Transaction ID" (you can see this from any transaction page as the part of the URL that says "txnid=xyz").  I'm trying desperately to get this (or ANY unique key) into my reports for export.  Is this doable?  Every system I've ever worked with has a unique key that's serviceable, so I don't expect QBO to be any different.  Do I have to go via the APIs (are there any?!?!) to do this?

Transaction ID ("txnid" from the URL of any transaction page) - Reportable?

Hi,

While I appreciate the direction on how to post on a forum, I'd love a direct answer to the question that I asked previously:

Am I able to pull a "unique identifier" (transaction ID) into reports via the user interface?

Hi there. Have you ever gotten a satisfactory answer to your question? I migrated from QB desktop a few months ago and the Transaction No field was super important for me when reviewing reports. I need help finding it on QBO.

Thank you for participating in this discussion, Howie9jaMan. Reviewing reports is crucial for gaining a clear understanding of your transactions. I'll certainly assist you in locating the transaction number field.

If you're looking for the transaction number, you can open a report like Transaction List by Vendor or Transaction List by Customer. Here's how:

  1. Click the Reports in the navigation panel.
  2. Enter the specific report you want to view in the search field.
  3. Choose the report.

You can find the transaction number in the Num column.

If you can't find it, you must customize the report first, then edit the columns; make sure you tick the Num column.

However, if you're referring to the Transaction ID number (tnxid from the URL), just click the specific transaction in the report below the Transaction type column, and you'll be routed to the transaction details.
