Trouble with the estimate function of QB. Every time I send a customer an Estimate, they have to "view and accept", is there any setting to change it to JUST "View"?

The "View and Accept" estimate  scares them into thinking they're agreeing to the estimate and entering a contract or something. Ive had multiple clients contact me saying they dont want to accept it, and it creates awkward tension that I have to blame on my QB illiteracy.

I know that modifying the "View and Accept" message your customers see when you email the estimates can significantly improve their overall experience, Sawatch. Let me ease your troubles by sharing the availability of this functionality. If you encounter limitations, I'll offer an alternative solution.

At this time, a workaround is downloading PDF files for estimates in QuickBooks Online(QBO) and then manually sending them to your clients outside QBO since the option to modify it to just "View" is currently unavailable.

To download the sales form as a PDF File, here's how:

  1. Go to Sales and pick Estimates.

  2. Locate the estimate and click the dropdown arrow under the ACTION column.
  3. Tap View/Edit and select Print and Download.

  4. Click the Save icon in the upper right corner.

  5. Hit Save.

Once done, you may proceed to email them outside QBO.

In the meantime, I suggest sending your suggestion to our product engineers about changing the displayed note to View. Please refer to the steps below:

  1. Go to the Gear icon and choose Feedback.
  2. Enter your product recommendation in the designated field.
  3. Click Next to submit.

Thank you for your valuable feedback, Sawatch. I'm looking forward to incorporating your insights into our ongoing efforts to meet your expectations. We carefully analyze and prioritize these to ensure our updates align with your needs. If you have questions about handling estimates, running reports, or other QBO tasks, post a reply below.
