When I exported this list, the Variant name was shown in column B right after column A. I didn't input any of those. Why is that, and how can I fix it? Thank you!

Thanks for posting here in Community space, Info. Allow me to address your concern on exporting list in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

Before doing so, can you give the specific list that you're trying to pull up for me to be able to provide an accurate response? Any additional details that would help me, such as screenshots is much appreciated.

Hi Heide DC,

Thank you so much for replying. Please check out the attached screenshot. All I did was input the information following the steps in the Products and Services, didn't see anything about the Variant Name.

Thank you!

Thanks for coming back and providing us with a screenshot to better isolate the issue.

The columns reflected when exporting the products and services always depend on the columns set up in the Product/Service List Report. We can customize the report before we can export it to come up with the data you need in Excel.

Here's how:

  1. Go to Settings ⚙, then Products & services (Take me there).
  2. Click the More dropdown arrow, then select Run report.
  3. Tap the Customize tab, then select Rows/Columns and choose reorder columns.
  4. Press the Export icon, then select Export to Excel.

If you’re missing data when you open the report in Excel, the file's in protected view. In Excel, you’ll need to select Enable Editing to view the full report. You can check out this article for more details on how to export your QuickBooks Online reports and lists: Export reports, lists, and other data from QuickBooks Online.
