We’ll have to use the Custom field feature to add the file number on the invoice template. Let me help make sure the process is a breeze for you.
Here’s how:
- Tap the Gear icon in the upper right and select Custom form styles under Your Company.
- Press the New style drop-down to choose Invoice.
- This will take you to the Create invoices that turn heads and open wallets page.
- Navigate to the Content tab and click the template’s header to see the Custom fields option.
- Then, tick one of the boxes and enter your desired name in the field.
- Click Done to keep the changes.
When you create an invoice, manually add the number you wish to use in the file number field. Also, the subject line is built-in in the template. You’ll have to choose the Save and send option to see it.
