Welcome to the Community, @PS180.
I'd be glad to help you re-categorize your transactions in QuickBooks Online (QBO).
To begin, if the transaction is from online banking, you have to undo it and then recategorize it.
Here's how:
- Go to the Banking page, and select Banking.
- Under the Categorized tab, locate the transaction then click Undo.
- Go back to the For Review tab and click the transaction.
- Select the correct category of the transaction.
However, if you manually entered, you have to locate and edit the transactions in QBO.
Here's how:
- Go to the Gear icon on the top menu and select Chart of Account.
- Find the account you want to review. Then, in the Action column, select Account History.
- Click the Filter icon, then select the filters you want to apply. You can use the Find field to search by amount, reference number, or memo.
- To remove a filter, select the X next to the filter name.
- Press Apply.
Then, edit the transactions by following the steps below:
- Find and select the transaction in the account register to expand the view.
- Make changes to the available fields.
- If you want to change something in the grayed-out sections, select Edit. This opens the full transaction form where you can make additional changes.
- When you're ready, press Save or Save and close.
