Receipts for QB online essentials

Are you referring to the receipts you've uploaded or forwarded to the program? If so, we're unable to total and sort them by job. By default, they'll be all listed in the Receipts tab based on the date they were created and reviewed.

If you want to view the expenses for a specific job or customer, you customize the Transaction List by Customer report instead. Here's how:

1. Go to the Reports menu.
2. Search for Transaction List by Customer.
3. Click the Customize button, then set the appropriate report date and accounting method.
4. Filter the report by the expense transactions.
5. Click Run Report.

Thank you for your assistance but this did not work for me. I got as far as filter report by expense transactions and it said there were none. I am trying to see what the total expenses per receipts are for each job. If you have further ideas please let me know. I thought the purpose of having online essentials was so I could add receipts to jobs and see what was spent per what was estimated on invoice.

Thanks for coming back and giving some additional information to the Community. 

If your receipt wasn't matched or entered with a transaction, this may be the cause of the report not showing the details you need. Here's a guide that can explain and provide detailed steps about receipts and how to match: Upload your receipts and bills to QuickBooks Online. 

However, there isn't a report just for receipts per job. You're more than welcome to send feedback to our Product Developers about improving and adding more reports in the near future to all products.
