Reconciliations process

Hello,

Since we migrated over all of our data from back to April 2018, All the historic records show up when I go to reconcile. Evidently whatever “reconciled” flag Account Edge had for each record did not transfer to QuickBooks.  This makes searching for a transaction cumbersome and time-consuming, scrolling through all the records.  It also makes it impossible for me to assess if there are any outstanding checks for the year that have not been cashed.

- How can I remove all the prior, previously reconciled transactions?  Is it as simple as doing a “select all” for the transactions that I Know are reconciled?

Thank you,

Oana

Reconciliations process

Good day, Oana Palade.

I'm here to share some information about how the migration process affects your reconciled transactions.

Once your data is successfully migrated, removing previously reconciled transactions is currently unavailable in QuickBooks Online. All statements in your Account Edge will be unreconciled and needs to go through the reconciliation process again.

This is to ensure that all the data is migrated accurately. To help you reconcile your account, you can follow the steps below:

  1. Click the Gear icon at the upper-right corner and choose Reconcile.

  2. Select an Account you want to reconcile.
  3.  Enter other necessary information.
  4. Hit Start reconciling.

For the detailed steps about this process, you can read through this article: Reconcile an account in QuickBooks Online. On the same link, you'll find write-ups about how to adjust as well as reviewing your reconciliation report in QuickBooks.

Additionally, you might want to visit this link: What to expect when you switch from QuickBooks Desktop to QuickBooks Online. It contains more details on what are the information that will convert with changes.

If you still need help with the reconciliation process, please let me know. I want to make sure your concern is fully addressed and I'm here to provide further assistance whenever you need it. Have a great rest of the week!
