Regarding automatic late fees. I'm using late fees plus a percentage. The flat fee is being added automatically by QBO as it should but the percentage isn't.

Good Morning, @brian95

Let's work together and get this issue resolved. To properly assist you with setting up your late fees, did you customize the percentage according to the customer? If so, let's ensure that every detail is correct. Here's how:

  1. Go to the Sales tab.
  2. Select Customers
  3. Choose a customer you'd like to set up a customized percentage fee.
  4. Pick the Late Fees section.
  5. Press Customize
  6. Click Percentage of remaining balance.
  7.  Enter all the information required to save
  8. Hit Save when finished.

If you've already entered a customized late fee, can you provide me with a screenshot or additional information about this issue? You can always look into this article about automatic late fees to learn more details.

Let me know if this helps. I value you and the success of your business. I'll be waiting for your response.

I'd like this to be in affect for ALL customers though. Please see the attached. Seems like that SHOULD work, but only the $25 goes into affect...

Thanks,

Brian

We only charge a percentage and it isn't working at all. Very disappointed.

Hello there, @ tekstopaz.

There are many scenarios when you do not see automatic late fees apply to an invoice. Please check below the possible reasons why.

  • Your Invoice is still unpaid but in a closed period.
  • Your invoice was overdue before turning on the late fees setting.
  • QuickBooks Online only applies late fees to invoices up to six months overdue.

For more information, you check out this article: Set up and apply automatic late fees to invoices. It includes answers to most of your questions about using the Late Fees feature.

In addition, I suggest reaching our Customer support team to review the cause of this reaction. To make sure that you reach Intuit Agents, I can help direct you to contact them through your software. Just follow these steps:
