Report for estimates

Is there a way to pull a report for this calendar year, showing estimates we've created that were NOT turned in to sales orders?

Report for estimates

I see the importance of keeping track of reports in your business, jpond04.

You can pull up the Job Estimates report. This will provide you the estimated cost, actual cost, and revenue. This can help you with the cash flow projections. The detailed report gives you all the items associated with the job. Also, it shows the amounts of all outstanding estimates.

  1. Go to the Reports menu.
  2. Select the Jobs, Time & Mileage, then Estimates by Job.
  3. Press the Customize Report.
  4. On the Display tab, choose to add the open balance column, then unchecked any needed columns.
  5. Enter the date range of the data that you want to pull up.
  6. Hit OK.

Additionally, to know more information and options in running reports, you can check on how to customize customer, job, and sales reports in QuickBooks Desktop.

Keep me posted in the comments if you need any other help. Always got your back here in the Community.

Report for estimates

Thank you for your response. I tried this and it's still pulling estimates that I did turn in to sales orders. We sell product (not services), I'm wanting our sales reps to see what has been quoted in their territory, what needs followed up on, what estimates have not been ok'd to purchase so that they can call on the customer and try to close the deal.

Ideas?

Report for estimates

Good day, jpond04.

Generating a report that shows all estimates that were not turned in to sales orders is currently unavailable. As a way around, you can export the Estimates by Job into Excel and filter the report from there.

To know what are the estimates that are already converted into sales orders, you can run the Open Sales Orders by Customer report. You can use this report as a reference to filter the Estimates by Job that was not turned into a sales order.

I recommend customizing the report to get the specific details you need. You can also memorize it to save its current customization settings. It serves as your record and helps you quickly access it for future use.

While this isn't available, you can submit your feedback to make the program better by going to the Send Feedback Online on your QuickBooks Desktop.

I'm always here to help if you have any other concerns or anything in QuickBooks. I'll make sure to get back to you as quickly as I can. Have a good one.
