Buy nowWe recently noticed that the reports for our Non-Profits changed from "Profit & Loss" and "Balance Sheet" to "Statement of Activity" and "Statement of Financial Position", and our "Invoices" now show as "Pledges". We are a non-profit business league 501(c)6 that files a 990. I understand that as a non-profit, the "new" names are technically correct, however, this is confusing to my board of directors who are accustomed to Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet. Is there a way to change them back, without changing our tax form to something other than a 990?
Yes, it's possible to update the name of the report without changing your tax form, @Camille43081.
You can go to the report to edit the name from Statement of Financial Position to Balance Sheet.
Here's how:

I will take a look, but I doubt this solves my issue. I know you can change the title of a report - I want them to read Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, etc on the menu where you run the report. We are a volunteer run organization, and my 19 chapters are all very confused on where to find the correct reports.
I’ve tried replying several times, sorry if you see multiples.
I will take a look at your suggestion, but I think that only changes the title on that particular instance of a report. I need the names in the reporting menu to be “Profit & Loss”, “Balance Sheet”, etc. My 19 chapters that are running these reports are confused with the new names.
Hi, Camille. I recognize the significance of changing the names of these reports to avoid confusion. I'm here to share some valuable information about this.
Yes, you're right. When you change to a non-profit company type in QuickBooks Online, certain labels may change, you can check this article for reference and additional information: Configure an account for a nonprofit organization.
As of now, there isn't a direct way to change a report's name from the Report's menu. In the meantime, you can follow the workaround provided by my colleague above. You can consider changing its title to your preference and then view it from the Custom report section. I'll show you how.
After this, you'll see this report with the new name attached to it in the Custom report. From there on, you can choose to export it as a PDF or an Excel file.
In case you want to keep tabs on the fund donations you received from your donors, you can check out this article for guidance: Track funds you receive from donors in QuickBooks Online.
I'll ensure to answer your needs about modifying the title's name from the report's menu. Don't hesitate to reply to this post if you have one.
