Reports - memo & description

Why does the Memo field on the P&L report below list the "description" of the bill -- also below -- instead of what I typed in the memo field?  I would like both the "memo" and the "description" from my bills to show in my reports.  Any way to do that?

Thanks for coming to the Community for your concern, @CT58. The memo column allows you to see the item description you enter when creating the bill in QuickBooks.

 

I know how you want to have both the memo and the description to appear in the report. At the moment, you can only have either one of these columns shown in the Profit and Loss report. 

 

You'll want to master customizing your reports, read through this article for more insights: Customize reports in QuickBooks Desktop. It helps you learn about how to filter to show what you want to include in the report to fit your business needs.

Thanks Katherine.  I understand it is not possible to have both on the P&L report, but are saying it is possible to get a custom report with what I want?  I will look on the link you suggested.  Thank you.
