In the desktop version a find option that allows you to do searches.  I am needing to do a search of all transactions linked to a customer (including bills and purchase orders, and checks linked to the the customer job).  When I do the advanced search in the online version and search all transactions by customer it only shows invoices and payments but nothing else.  I need that information to cost track jobs.  How can I pull that information up?

Hello there, Allied3.

It would be nice and efficient to generate the customer/jobs in all transactions using the Advanced Search feature. However, this is unavailable in QuickBooks.

The system only generates the name of the customer/customer:job for sales transactions. For the vendor's side transaction, only the vendor's name used for that particular bill/PO will show up.

As a workaround, you'll want to add their name in the Memo field. Here's my sample screenshot:

Go back to the Advanced Search and look for the bill/PO that is linked to the customer job. If the Memo/Description is not showing up, click the small Gear icon to include the Memo/Description column.

Also, you can send feedback directly to our software engineers. They're taking notes of our customers' ideas and insights. Let me show you:

  1. Click the Gear icon.
  2. Select Feedback

The greater the number of requests, the more likely it will be included in the future update.

For additional details and tips about sales transactions, you can review the links below:

You can always post another one below if you have any other concerns or further questions about QuickBooks. Stay safe and have a good one.

That isn't what I am looking for.  I need one report that show's all transactions applicable to one customer.  It is very frustrating that this is not available.  As well as many other find options that are available in the desktop version.
