Glad to see you here, tvaughan1. Let's run a report together in QuickBooks Online (QBO) that shows the monthly revenue recognized and the remaining deferral amount by invoice/customer.
To do that, let's generate the Invoice List report and customize it to show only the necessary information. Here's how:
- Go to Reports and search for Invoice List.
- Click Customize.
- From the General dropdown, set the Report period to All Dates.
- From the Rows/Columns dropdown, you may choose to group the column either by Month or Customer.
- Click Run report.
If you want the same settings of the customized report to be accessible in the future, QBO has the feature to memorize them. Furthermore, you can export them to Excel if you want to use your reports outside QBO.
