Sales History by SKU report

How can I run a sales History by SKU report in Quickbooks online?

I can run it by product/ service but it doesn't associate the corresponding SKU to each item.

I want to monitor my sales for each sku and use this report to adjust my reorder points based on the previous years historical sales.

Sales History by SKU report

Welcome to the Community, Stringo. I can see the importance of getting the SKU information on the reports. No worries, I'm here to provide you with steps on how to group the SKU.

To make the SKU column visible in a report, you have to turn on a specific feature.

Here's how you can activate it:

  1. Go to Reports, then look for Sales by Product/Service Detail Report.
  2. Click Customize, then under Group by, click the drop-down arrow and select SKU.
  3. Mark check the SKU, then click Run report.

Once done, you can see the report that shows the SKU column.

I'd like to share this article about customizing sales forms. This will guide you on how to personalize your reports.

I understand having SKU as a column but how do you filter it to pick certain SKUs and not have to show all of our SKUs?

Sales History by SKU report

Hi there.

I recognized that having the option to filter transactions by SKU would be a helpful feature to have. I'm here to share further details about this.

We see your suggestions as an opportunity to identify the areas in the product's reporting feature that need improvement. I encourage you to send us your feedback or product recommendations.

Your valuable feedback will be forwarded and reviewed by our Product Development team to help improve your experience while using the program. Here's how:

  1. Go to the Gear icon.
  2. Select Feedback.
  3. Type in your recommendation in the Share your feedback field.
  4. Click Next.
  5. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the process.

Alternatively,  you can export your transaction report to Excel. Once the data is in Excel, you can then filter and sort the transactions by the SKU column to only display the specific SKUs you need.

To do this:

  1. Go to the Reports tab and find the report that  you want to filter.
  2. Click the Export  button and select Excel.
  3. Once the file opens in Excel, you can use the filter tools to show only the SKUs you require.

I'm also adding an article if you want to keep your products and services organized: Group your products and services into different categories.

On the other hand, we got these articles to help you keep your current report settings for future use and learn more about exporting reports outside QBO:

Feel free to reach out anytime if you have additional questions or need further assistance. We're happy to help walk through any reporting or customization issues you encounter.
